Ojai Directions: From the 101 take Highway 150 or 33 toward Ojai from SB/LA respectively. The 150 merges with the 33 about 20 miles off the 101, just before entering Ojai. As you head into Ojai the 33 will become Ojai Ave. Enter downtown Ojai, drive about a block past Montgomery Street and the park will be on the left. If you hit Fulton Street then you have gone to far. Description: Wood/skatelite, outdoor. Mini ramp, quarters, street course. Take a left (East) at the stop sign. Stay on this road until you get to Rt 130, then make a right (south)- you'll see a sign for Charleston Take this road until you hit Charleston (20 miles) Once you hit Charleston begin looking on your right for the skatepark, it's in North Park so look for the swingsets, etc - you can't miss it Bikes Allowed: All hours Description: Wood/Skatelite. Mellow quarter pipe, 24' wide', quarter/bank combo, a double sided funbox, a grind rail, and a manual box. The park is small but a really good time. Rutland This skatepark is one of the few parks that officially allows bikers to use it. The layout of the park really favors bikes, and the pavement is a little rough (plus there is a big crack in the tar near the spine). Feel free to rock it with your skate though, too. Location/Directions: Located on Main St.(Rt. 122a) in Rutland Center, Behind the Naquag School, Near the Dunkin Donuts Cost: (Season Pass available from Rec. Dept.) Desert Breeze Skatepark Location: Las Vegas, NV on the corner of Durango and Spring Mountain Hours: 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Descriptoin: Four and a half goot deep concrete mini-ramp with a spine, 10 foot deep bowl with an island in it. Many transfer lines. Also a lot of grind boxes and a 2 and a half foot rail a 8 inch to four inch kinked rail and a 10 inch grind ledge. Pad: Helmet, Knee, Elbow...but no one says anything to you if you aren't wearing them. Other: Also if you go to this park, go to it during the day time because it isn't as crowded and at night it is packed with little kids on scooters. Ramp park, public, free during the day. There's a wide mini, halfpipe (might be gone by now). There's also a box, and assorted street stuff. You can see the park from the west side highway going north. NORTH CAROLINA Jaycee Extreme Park Location: At the Jaycee public park Greenville, NC , USA Cost: $2.00 for residents or $5.00 for non-residents of Pitt County. OHIO Miller Skatepark Lancaster, Ohio (Southeast of columbus) in Miller Park, off rt.33. nice box jump, vert wall, spine, fun box, a few ledges, half pipe and some other little stuff. the hours are sunup to sundown. the locals are really nice too, even the skaters and bladers. Talent Skatepark The city of Talent, OR has a public skatepark and they allow bikes. They have also come up with a few recommendations for park etiquette. Memorial skate park Location: Ontario, Oregon (down 4th ave next to the pool at lions park), Outdoor Times: Bikes are allowed at all hours of the day. Description: The park is a little shady. There is a fun box with a stair case on one side, a small hand rail, a small grinding box, and a kicker ramp leading nowere. New additions: the city announced they will put a pyramid and a wall. I dont know exact details. PENNSYLVANIA Bloomsburg Location: Bloomsburg, PA No further information available FDR Skatepark Location: Under I-95, across from the Spectrum Philadelphia, PA Cost: Free (Give respect to the skaters. Turn left onto Main Street, go one block and turn right onto Carter Street. Sanctuary entrance is on the right. Young Skate Park Directions: Tyler, Texas. The skatepark is located at Noble E. Young Park. From HWY 69 (Broadway) you take Loop 323 West to HWY 155, take HWY 155 North (right), look for road sign "Noble E. Young" You will be taking a left on seaton street, stay on seaton until you run into Noble Young. Hours: Dawn till 10 pm. Sun-Thur & Till 11 pm Fri and Sat. Description: 40 foot wide vert with 10'2" transition and 1'6" vert, a 32 foot wide mini 5' tall with a tombstone and two extensions. Then they also have a killer street area. Grantsville Skatepark Grantsville, UT It's a small concrete, public park that is free and requires no pads Moab Public Skatepark Moab, UT Website: http://moabcity.state.ut.us/Recreaton/skatepark.htm Has a 5' concrete mini with a spine. Funky bowl-type thing. Hips on each side of the mini. Expansion planned for this summer. Roy Bikes on Thursdays only. Recently opened. Taylorsville Salt Lake City Lots of banks. A fun 90d hip. 6' "half moon" bowl. Tooele, UT It is a small all concrete park with a couple of fun boxes and a 3' deep bowl with metal coping. It is public, free and no pads needed. Note: They are building a new, larger park right now. It should be done in time for summer. Stansbury Skatepark Stansbury, UT About 10,000 ft2 concrete park. 4' transitions around, 5' spine, ledges around the perimeter. A couple of rails and a long, gradual bank. Vernon Skatepark Location: Bakerview Park, off of Fir St. and east of La Vent Mt. Vernon, WA Cost: Free. Bikes Allowed: Monday-Sunday Description: Mini, spine with hip, street course, outdoor, pads recommended. Sea-Sk8 Skatepark Directions: 959 Harrison Street #102, Seattle, WA 98109. Near the Space Needle and corner of 5th and Republican. Hours: Open dawn to dusk Sat. and Sun. Description: Public street course with metal-covered quarterpipes and assorted obstacles Other: Skaters fifteen and under receive free instruction Phone: (206) 684-7385 Snohomish Snohomish is well east of Seattle. Take I90 over Snoqualmie pass. The city is along HWY 97. Take the HWY907 from I90 to the HWY97 S. Description: There isn't anything super big but there are all sorts of hips and manuals and about a thousand different lines to take. There's also a whole bunch of street stuff, including a nine stair ledge and rail. There's also a four foot half bowl which always makes for really fun sessions. All in all it's a really fun place to ride and the skaters are cool. Other: Check out PICTURES OF THE PARK Tacoma Skatepark Directions: Tacoma., WA Cost: Free. Bikes Allowed: Monday-Sunday Description: Mini, street course, outdoor near a school, pads recommended. Wisconsin Burlington, WI. Directions: Behind Pizza Hut and across the street from the senior league diamonds where the trails are located. Description: Last spring the park was a mere spot of asphalt, but by the end of September we had built a Wedge/quarter combo, a pyramid, a mini ramp, a micro ramp (There were also a lot of skaters helping us, they're cool), a 5' quarter with a 12' wallride on one side, a 5' box, and a 6' spine. The park would have been done sooner, but local beurocracy and misapprprated funds set us back a long time. Home Depot came through, (and Still is), with a lot of lumber, and not just scrap either, good stuff. Torque Center of New Berlin, WI donated dough for nails and power. Kenosha Public Skatepark Kenosha, WI Bowl, Free, Street Course, Full pipe. ledges, Giant Funbox, Pyramid Lacrosse, WI No further information at this time. Oshkosh Public Skatepark Directions: Oshkosh, WI. Take Highway 41 to Highway 21 East to the frontage road (N. Koeller Street) to Taft. At Taft take a left (there is a Dairy Queen on the corner). Go one block to the park, which is across from Oshkosh West High School. Hours: open all hours of the day but not well lit at night Cost: Free Description: Concrete with two 6ft half pipes. Quarter, a low box with a ramp up to the higher box and a staircase of four stairs. It has a launch ramp, and the sides of the park are banked . WYOMING Evanston Skatepark Evanston, WY Cost: Free.
