Due to the hard work of Austin BMX advocates, including top pros Joe Rich and Ruben Alcantara, the 30,000 square foot park park is now a reality!

Press Release Phoenix, Arizona, 6-6-11 –  The Bike, Blade and Board Coalition is stoked to announce that the City of Phoenix has decided to build its first public bikepark!  The bikepark will be concrete and will be located at 67th Avenue and Encanto Blvd at Desert West Park, just across the parking lot from Arizona’s first public concrete skatepark.

The Riverside Railyard skatepark in Great Falls, Montana had a number of problems, including vandalism, graffiti and safety issues. BMX was banned from the park. Now BMX riders are working with the city to solve these problems. And the BMX ban has been lifted.

A youtube video of a 7 year old BMX rider has recently been getting popular. But he’s definitely not the youngest rider out there.

Following recent health issues which have grown increasingly worse in the last month, Mike ‘Tag’ Tagliavento, an original member of the FBM team, part owner of Shitluck Clothing, co-producer of classic BMX videos such as “1201″ and all-around amazing BMX rider, was diagnosed earlier this month with Stage ll Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
