Des Moines, Iowa, and California Skateparks Set to Build the Largest Open Park

According to http://desmoinesregionalskatepark.com, “The Des Moines Regional Skatepark Committee and California Skateparks collaborated to create a world-class skatepark in Des Moines that is set to be the largest open park in the nation totaling more than 65,000 Sq. Ft. The City of Des Moines, Iowa, donated a beautiful parcel of land located along the Des Moines River adjacent to School St. and 2nd Ave.”

This is going to be the largest open skatepark in the country and there’s not one mention of BMX. How can that be? We are looking for people in the Des Moines area to help ensure BMX becomes a valid user of this park. Please leave a comment or start a thread in the forums if you have any information about the plan.
