Are you looking to improve your current skills on a BMX bike or skateboard? Are you a new rider looking to gain comfort and confidence in BMX or skateboarding? Check out the LCRSP camps, where all ages and skill levels are welcome.
Summer Camps 2011
|Summer camps at LCRSP are designed for skateboarders and BMX riders of all ages and abilities. With exclusive access to the park, participants are able to focus on improving their personal abilities in the areas of speed, consistency, and tricks. Camps will consist of a one hour group lesson, with demonstration and practice time, lunch break, and open skating/riding. Participants will meet at LCRSP every morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. Skaters/riders may enter themselves into one of three categories: Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. Each category will have its own friendly instructor for their specific level. The instructor will teach and demonstrate tricks that skaters/riders can use to help them progress to the next level. The lessons and instructions taught can be practiced at the skater’s/rider’s own pace and ability, even after the lessons are completed. |

|The private one-on-one lessons are one hour long and taught by LCRSP staff. The lessons emphasize safety, learning, and fun, while providing personal coaching and instruction designed to guide each individual BMX rider into new tricks. We teach basic skills and tricks, putting together lines within the park, while increasing speed and learning and improving upon techniques. |

|Group BMX lessons at LCRSP are designed for riders of all ages and abilities. Riders will meet at LCRSP twice a week for 2 consecutive weeks. The one hour-long lessons consist of proper warm up, equipment check, demonstration, meal break, and practice time. The instructor will teach and demonstrate tricks and skilled riders may use to help themselves progress and become more relaxed and comfortable on their bicycle. Riders may practice what they have learned after the lessons are completed. Participants should always be aware of the inherent risks of BMX riding and maintain an appropriate level of respect for the sport. |
|BMX group lessons are open to all ability level groups, but are primarily geared towards the novice rider. |
