Kory Laos Park – Tucson, AZ

The Kory Laos memorial freestyle park is under construction. The park idea was started after a young boy (Kory) lost his life while riding street in Tucson, Arizona. His parents made it a goal to honor their son by creating a safe environment for BMX riders in Tucson. The first leg of the park is a temporary dirt facility until funding will become available for a concrete park. Thanks to Pima county and Granite construction the first stage is underway. We hope to have the park running by the beginning of April. This is a huge success for BMX freestyle in Tucson. There is not one safe legal area within the city limits for BMX, and this is hopefully just the start.

Original design for the park. It has been altered quite a bit once the dirt was in place, but you get the general idea.
